How To Get The Perfect Fit For Your Cycling Helmet
Even the best cycling helmet will not work well if it does not fit your head correctly. Many riders buy helmets in the wrong size and miss out on both comfort and safety.
Step 1: Measure your head circumference
Take a soft measuring tape. Wrap it around the widest part of your head, roughly 2.5cm above your eyebrows and around the back of your skull. Use this number to check the helmet size chart.
Step 2: Adjust the retention dial
Most modern bike helmets come with a one-hand dial system at the back. Put the helmet on, then turn the dial to tighten or loosen the frame. The helmet should sit level on your forehead, not tilted forward or backward.
Step 3: Check the straps
Adjust the side straps so they form a V-shape under your ears. The chin strap should be snug but not too tight. You should be able to fit one or two fingers between the strap and your chin.
After adjustment, shake your head gently. If the helmet slides or wobbles easily, it is not fitted properly.
Our adult mountain helmets come in multiple sizes and many color options. Each helmet is equipped with an easy-adjust dial system for riders of different head shapes.
